(E.A. #: 140274, L.T.C. #: C-1922318 & B-1922319)
Andrew graduated from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration: Public Accounting. Andrew has experience working with all sizes of businesses. Starting at the young age of 5, Andrew worked in his family’s businesses, a multi-generation family nursery and a water garden store. Through those prominent years Andrew learned what it took for a business to be successful, especially with the ups and downs of a family business.
After graduating from SOU, Andrew worked as a Cost Accountant for Harry & David (a subsidiary of 1-800 Flowers Inc), where he handled the day to day Standard Costing of all their products. Being that Harry & David owns over 2,000 acres of orchards, a manufacturing facility, distribution center, and sales thousands of high-end gifts, the time there showed Andrew what it took to work with a big corporation.
Andrew began his roots in tax preparation in 2015 interning for a local tax firm in Ashland, OR. After his internship, he then was hired on as a Staff Accountant for a local tax firm in Medford, OR. These two experiences were immensely influential and sparked Andrew’s interest to help individuals and businesses succeed with their bookkeeping, accounting, tax advising, and tax preparation needs.
When Andrew isn’t working he loves spending time with his wife, catching up on his list of books to read, tinkering with new tech, and his favorite, having board game nights with his friends & family!
An Enrolled Agent is admitted to practice and represent tax payers before the IRS on any matter including tax issues such as tax audits, collections, and appeals. Only Enrolled Agents, Certified Public Accountants, and Attorneys have unlimited practice rights with the IRS. This means Andrew is unrestricted as to which taxpayers he can represent, what types of tax matters he can handle, and which IRS offices he can represent clients before.
A Tax Consultant license allows us to lawfully prepare personal income tax returns in the State of Oregon for compensation. The State of Oregon is one of only four states in all the US that requires tax professionals to be licensed. Being a tax consultant is considered to be an experienced level for preparing personal income taxes. Oregon also requires Licensed Tax Consultants to complete 30 hours of Continuing Professional Education every year to maintain their license, so be rest assured that Andrew is always engaged and learning about new changes to the tax laws and will have an edge over other non-licensed tax professionals.

Andrew and the team at Plentybooks really helped me get my bookkeeping and taxes in order. Since I own and run an Adult Foster Home I'm constantly busy 24/7. Andrew got right to work and I could tell that he went the extra mile to make sure I got all the deductions I could get.
